Serves 4

this might be easy, but some preperation need to be done with the prawns and chicken. Anyway, it's still quite simple coz i managed to dish this out from preperation to cleaning up in a record time of two and a half hour. the tricky part was getting the taste right for the guests. since this is my first time cooking for 4, i had some problem estimating. but thanks to them, it turned out fine. but i still find it not sour enough, and not spicy enough. i'll get things right IF there is a next time.

as time consuming as it seems, timing is quite important once the meat and prawns are in the pot. i overcooked the prawns coz the taste wasnt right and i have to keep on adding keat-ah juice and cili padi to suit their taste. sorry for that guys.

anyway, thanks to rach and magi for the prawns and fishballs. and thanks to rach, magi and so for giving face. i hope you guys enjoyed the meal. so.. what's next? spagetti i heard? hahaha

everyone has their own social life. after tonight, i think this is how i would like my social life to be. hang around for a meal, and lepak around after that. not so much for the food. but more for the company. maybe later in life, i would have a wine party or something like that.. :)

another variation of mee suah th'ng. i wouldn't say it's nicer than the previous mee suah th'ng coz they both taste completely different :) i would say this is a more balanced meal compared to the previous version.

a word of caution though.. mee suah cooks very easily so don't cook it too long.

pork omelette

Ingredients:
an egg, beaten
some minced pork
half an onion, coarsely chopped
salt and pepper to taste
some oil

Method:
  1. Stir fry the chopped onion, minced pork, some salt and pepper until fragrant. Once done, set aside.
  2. Pour the egg into the pan to make a plain omelette.
  3. When the omelette is half done (the surface of the omellete is still moist), spread the cooked pork on the moist side of the omelette evenly.
  4. When the omellete is almost done, flip to cook the other side (the side with the ingredients)
  5. If done properly, the ingredients should stay with the omelette :p
  6. Serve hot.

a pork omelette. i'm just finding ways to clear up my pork which my mom brought a few weeks back.. i was desperate for food so i just made whatever i had without thinking much. omelette is nice, haha one of my fav i guess. but hey, everything i cook here is my favourite food! :p i'll see what i can come up with the last portion of the pork i have in the freezer..

oh, you don't need to know how to make an omelette to make this dish. if you're too lazy, just stir fry the ingredients, then add in the egg, and scramble it up. but this way, the pan will get a lil bit sticky due to the pork. enjoy yourself! :)

vegetable soup

Ingredients:
some cabbage
some sliced carrot
a sausage/some meatballs
a pinch of salt and pepper
a bowl of water

Method:
Boil everything together :)

A 3 year old can cook this. nothing much to note, except the salt. do not put too much salt as it will spoil the sweetness of the carrot and cabbage. in fact, i didnt put any salt in the soup. anyway, enjoy this however you want. i had this with noodles.
