simple tom yam
Ingredients:
3 bowls of water
3 tablespoons of tomyam paste
1 stalk of serai, slightly crushed
1 medium onion, sliced to rings or wedges
1 tomato, cubed
1 piece of chicken keel, cubed or sliced
some cabbage, cut into bite size
some cili padi, crushed
1 limau kasturi, juiced
sugar, salt, and pepper to taste
Method
3 bowls of water

Method
- Boil the water with the cabbage and serai.
- Once boiled, add in tomyam paste, cili padi and onion.
- Bring to boil.
- Add in chicken pieces.
- Once the chicken is cooked, add in the tomato and limau kasturi juice.
- Add sugar, salt, and pepper to taste.
- Serve hot.
Serves 3
This is a simple tomyam recipe that i came up with the limited stuff i had. it tastes nice, sweet enough, sour enough, but not spicy enough! my cooking memang tak setanding my mom's! her tomyam tastes superb! but at least i have half the hainanese blood in me so i can cook half as nice as her :p oh ya, i had this with beehoon :)
